WHO WE ARE

Born inside innovation. Built for production

L3AD was born as a startup within the Vertex Group, a German company that has been designing and manufacturing high-end visual merchandising solutions for over 40 years.

Mannequins, modular systems, retail displays — built to turn retail spaces into immersive experiences.

In 2018, Vertex began integrating 3D printing into its operations — first as a side tool, soon becoming a core capability to rethink how products are prototyped, customized, and produced.

Today, the group operates over 800 industrial-grade printers across multiple technologies, working with high-performance materials, engineered for scalable manufacturing processes.

With manufacturing in China and Europe, Vertex has built a global production pipeline.

L3AD Innovation

L3AD emerged from this evolution — becoming an independent spin-off created to transform our 3D printing expertise into a core business driver.

A key milestone came in 2021, when the L3AD team developed its own proprietary 3D materials — including a GRS-certified recycled polypropylene with exceptional mechanical performance and strong sustainability credentials, followed then in 2022 by the development of the TPU filament.

2023 marked the beginning of true scalability. Thanks to the right technical partners and internal engineering talent, we designed and built our own custom FDM 3D printers, enabling us to scale production sustainably.

Today, L3AD counts a team of over 54 people across Germany and China — a mix of former Vertex experts and new talent brought in to support the company's independent growth.

Francisco Spinoglio

“ L3AD was created because we saw a persistent gap between what companies need and what the 3D manufacturing industry continues to offer.

At the same time, we had no interest in becoming yet another generic platform where you simply upload a file and wait for a quote.

That approach, while convenient on the surface, leaves companies with limited control, fragmented order handling, and no real partnership.

Instead, we set out to build something different — a digital platform designed around real customer needs, allowing them to manage their operations exactly the way they want.

That's what L3AD is: not just a service you use, but a factory you run.”
